ZeroMPs S.r.l. is a deep-tech startup founded on April 8, 2026 in Turin (Italy), based on a university research team.
Built on years of cutting-edge academic research, the company combines the highest scientific precision with a concrete industrial vision to address one of the most pressing environmental and health challenges of our time: microplastic contamination in the agri-food supply chain.
In a dramatically evolving European legislative landscape driven by ESG criteria and the demands of large-scale retail trade, ZeroMPs presents itself as a strategic partner capable of guiding food companies through a comprehensive process: from analytical monitoring to risk mitigation, all the way to product certification.
Our goal is two-fold: to safeguard consumer health and to promote the excellence and transparency of producers on the market.
OUR MODEL
Detect and Quantify
We are implementing an ISO 7-5 proprietary Clean Room completely free of plastic components, specifically designed to eliminate the risk of false positives during analyses.
Through an advanced pipeline combining µ-FTIR, Raman, and Pyrolysis-GC/MS, we trace polymers down to the submicrometer scale.

Mitigate and Reduce
We accurately map the presence of contaminants throughout the production chain, providing technical guidelines for plant optimization and the adoption of mitigation systems capable of reducing considerable microplastics presence in the food chain.

We offer companies the voluntary MicroGuard Certified quality mark, developed in accordance with ISO 24187 standards and European guidelines, to guarantee manufacturers premium positioning and certified ESG compliance in large-scale retail and international markets.
